How can we ensure that engineers have the skills and experiences to address global problems? How can we create a talent pool for the profession that draws on and nurtures the best and produces engineers that are creative and inclusive in their approach and delivery of engineering solutions?

Fired by the lack of progress in tackling diversity in engineering, through her work with UCL , Jan was pleased to create and chair this symposium addressing inclusivity in engineering.  Following the event, a collaborative group is working on a report based on presentations and discussions at the event, supported by the Royal Academy of Engineering, to be launched later in 2016.
