Our speakers
Vanessa Vallely who set up We are the City and The
Network of Networks is passionate about networks and their
power. She used her network before the event to share tips
on good practice.
Author and Tech Evangelist Eileen Brown inspired us with
the power of technology to connect and influence.
Some tips to help your network flourish
•
In businesses where there isn’t a D&I strategy the formation of a women’s network can
lead onto the creation of a diversity strategy.
•
Marketing your network and engaging the network members with the rest of the network
is a vital skill
•
Understanding the tangible ROI of an event or your network’s impact is important and
communicating with event attendees and no-shows was felt to be very important to
reinforce the value of the event and to share to no shows what they missed.
Networked Women, 21 September 2010 Intellect, Russell Square House, London
We asked is it true? Have women’s networks failed to deliver?
Forty inspired and connected men and women joined us for great presentations and lively discussion.
The event was brought to you by an association of Katalytik with eve-olution and supported by Intellect.
Where next?
The outcome was consensus that a broader
piece of specific research would be a
valuable thing, particularly drawing on
existing research to build something useful
and relevant for the private sector.
